We wake in some dreary place, devoid of color and devoid of soul. A haze envelops the city. The air is cold…is that fog or is it poison? There’s something beating in my chest; a pulsing, a heartbeat. I can’t tell if this is pain or joy. In the distance rests a speck of golden light. Its warmth is taunting me, I want it.
